Sloshing through the rain
Stopped trying to keep it from flowing in
There’s as much inside as there can be
Yet somehow…
It keeps streaming in
I’m soaked…I’m cold…
There’s rain in my boots
And yet
I wouldn’t have it any other way
I’m soaked… I’m cold…
There’s rain in my boots
But still
There’s some yellow in my eyes
…a smile on my lips
There’s a rush flaring the embers back to life
…streaks of shine gliding through the rain drops pooling at my feet…streaming everywhere
I can feel hope flutter in my chest
Sloshing through the rain
Stopped trying to keep it from flowing in
There’s as much inside as there can be
Yet somehow…
It keeps streaming in…keeps streaming in
Carrying off all the rubble downstream
Washing away all the tears
Its raining…
I’m soaked… I’m cold…I’m sloshing through the rain and still,
There’s some yellow in my eyes
…a smile on my lips
There’s a rush flaring the embers back to life
And I couldn’t have it any other way
